Europa Direkt Härnösand is a member of the Europa Direkt network in Sweden, which in turn is part of a Europe-wide network. The internship is located at Europa Direkt Härnösand in the Growth Department of Härnösand municipality. The Growth Department includes strategic community development, the business unit, the development unit, the culture unit, and the library unit, which together work to find synergies in growth efforts towards set goals and create attraction and development for Härnösand. The Growth Department leads the municipality's work to promote community development in Härnösand.

Job Responsibilities

Europa Direkt Härnösand offers an internship to a college/university student with an interest in the EU and democratic processes. The internship is full-time and is based at the office in Sambiblioteket where you will have a workspace. As an intern, you will work closely with the project manager for Europa Direkt Härnösand.

Your tasks will include:

• Monitoring the external environment
• Creating posts for social media
• Assisting in organizing events and giving lectures
• Participating in ongoing projects
• Informing about the EU in schools

Europa Direkt Härnösand works for Härnösand municipality with networks in Västernorrland, Sweden, and the EU. The internship is based in Härnösand, but travel within primarily Västernorrland and sometimes the rest of Sweden may occur.

Qualifications

You who will intern with us are currently studying at a college or university. We believe you are studying social sciences, communication science, or a similar program that we assess to be equivalent. In addition to having an interest in European issues and democratic development, you enjoy producing content for social media and working independently.

Scope

10-20 weeks (depending on the educational institution and what you are studying) during the autumn of 2025, starting after agreement. Daytime. The internship is unpaid and is part of your education. Other expenses such as travel within the framework of the internship will be covered by the employer.
